Exhibition presented at the University of Talca Extension Center in Santiago, September 2018.

The exhibition, “Transitar” (To Pass Through), as its name suggests, is a journey through countless recurring images in the artist’s pictorial work, reflecting her desire to create marks that invite touch, observation, and perception of matter and all the movement it entails. This process is always accompanied by vibrant color, forms, and, at the same time, a suggestive degree of abstraction.

This exhibition aims to enhance all the pictorial resources to create a visceral sensation that draws the viewer in. Previously, in her work, color, marks, and movements were interwoven with figures and characters emerging from them, forming a playful world. One that can unfold on its own, where its marks, textures, and colors form an independent work, based on purely pictorial work and its evocative language.

Espacio Cuántico is an adventure that leads to the limitless, a leap into abstraction where the stars are her navigational chart and her instinct is her compass. Like the quantum leap, it takes us to a dimension where color is energy that transmutes instantly. She leaves behind the female figures that have always been present in her work to fully explore the dynamics of the stain and color.

The artist shows us the ultimate reality of matter, so present and yet hidden, and with it, the enormous magnetism that her work displays.
Lourdes Naveillan surrenders to her painting with a characteristic vehemence that transports us to her own universe, expanding the boundaries of the possible.

Espacio Cuántico

Solo exhibition held at Galería QUQU from April 10 to June 18, 2019. A collection of eleven large-format acrylic on canvas and acrylic on paper works.

As the title suggests, I aim to represent imaginary forms, characters that emerge from the abstraction of the stain. I consider the idea of the vessel, the womb, the container for what springs from an inner essence of being.

This being is playful, emergent, colorful, expectant, and above all, imbued with a visceral feeling.

The AMBASSADOR PROJECT describes a proposal by the Chilean Ambassador to France, Patricio Hales, in collaboration with Silpa Art, to arrange the loan of nine works by Chilean artists to the Chilean Embassy in France and the donation of seven additional works of art.

Silpa Art represents this group of artists, who have responded with their work to this and other initiatives representing Chilean culture. They are: Liza Marzolo, Sara Malinarich, Lourdes Navellan, María Elena Navellan, Rachael Runner, Gonzalo Sánchez (Pikti), Manuel Terán, Jasna Tomasevic, and Sebastián Yrarrázaval.
Their works, now on display at the Chilean Embassy in Paris, share space with the work of other essential Chilean artists such as Nemesio Antúnez, José Balmes, Gracia Barrios, and Rose Bru, among others. But even more essential is the atmosphere they share in the former residence of the poet Pablo Neruda, with its books, the piano, the dining room that reserves a chair for the French General Charles de Gaulle, the historical documents, the daily correspondence, and its rooms filled with conversations about history and the future. It is this same atmosphere of wonder that the Ambassador creates today to present a new repertoire of ideas and their representation.

Dates: February 2016 to February 2017
Location: Embassy of Chile in France (Paris)

Artists: Liza Marzolo, Sara Malinarich, Lourdes Navellan, María Elena Navellan, Rachael Runner, Gonzalo Sánchez (Pikti), Manuel Terán, Jasna Tomasevic, and Sebastián Yrarrázaval.
